Salty Paws of the Lowcountry

Welcome! Salty Paws of the Lowcountry (SPOT-LC) is a new SC charitable organization comprised of an all-volunteer team of cat and dog lovers who saw the urgent need in the community to help animals amidst the nationwide crises of abandoned pets. Area shelters and rescues tend to consistently operate at maximum capacity, so SPOT-LC works to keep pets in homes, if possible, or when space opens, take in adoptable animals to find them loving homes through our Adoption Program. We foster relationships with all of the community’s shelters because we are in this together.
Our mission is simple: If we have the resources, we help animals in need. We are small but growing and hope to have a brick-and-mortar facility soon. Until then, we are an all-foster organization. We cannot do this without the generous support of volunteers and donors. Our biggest expenses are veterinary care, funds for procuring a building and high-quality food for the animals.
We Need Homes!
Featured Cat!

Avery is a wonderful 6-ish month old kitten who is the last of a litter of 8 who were found abandoned and lost. All of her siblings have found homes and now it is her turn. At SPOT-LC, we call her Aunt Avery because she has been awesome with every cat or kitten she has been paired with. She will shine in any loving, indoor home, preferably with an existing cat pal. But she can be your beloved one-and-only too! Click the pawprint to apply for Avery!
Featured Dog!

Grayson is a big (70 lbs.) sweet and snuggly 3-ish year old mixed breed who is great with all the dogs he has met and even cats! He is crate-trained, reliably housebroken and knows a ton of commands.
Now, what about humans? He adores those close to him, but as a boy who lived in a crate for the first 6 months of his life with minimal interaction, it takes some time for him to warm up. Be ready pay a hefty cheese and hot dog tax as he gets to know you!
If you're looking a great dog who will make you laugh and keep your lap warm on cool nights, Grayson's your guy! Click the pawprint to visit our friends at Renegade Paws Rescue in Savannah to adopt Grayson!
